Middle to Senior Ruby on Rails Engineer

Devabit is a Ukrainian IT company that collaborates with clients worldwide. Currently, we are looking for a Middle to Senior Ruby on Rails Engineer to join our team and work on a project for our client — a revolutionary platform transforming the pharmacy experience through digital innovation.

The project provides a patient-centric experience enabling patients to pay co-payments, schedule deliveries/curbside pickup, and answer medical-related questions online in seconds from any device.

The client provides pharmacies with a white-labeled, online payments platform that integrates with pharmacy management systems and allows for faster onboarding and payments process to enhance workflow and revenue.

Responsibilities:

• Developing robust API solutions using Ruby on Rails (API-only).
• Integrating OpenAPI specifications for seamless communication.
• Collaborating with the frontend team working on Next.js.
• Optimizing PostgreSQL databases and implementing caching using Redis.
• Integrating AWS S3 for efficient file storage.
• Contributing to Git-based workflows and participating in code reviews.
  
  

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails.
• Strong knowledge of API-first architecture principles.
• Hands-on experience with Next.js and JavaScript.
• A solid understanding of PostgreSQL and relational databases.
• Experience with Redis for caching.
• Familiarity with AWS S3.
• Proficiency with Git and collaborative development processes.
